​Growing up, I wanted to be on TV. "When's the RADA audition!", Granma chortled from behind the camcorder as I put on a 2002 Top of the Pops performance in my Groovy Chick bedroom.

Being a 90's baby, everything was preserved on video. Every birthday, Christmas, nativity play and home cooking show (don't ask) had a Panasonic VHS-C whirring in the background and throughout my life, watching these back and reliving some of the most precious moments of my life has been a privilege.

The day that changed everything was the day I was finally allowed to use the camera myself. It got me in an instant. The feeling of capturing something for other people to watch, to love, to laugh at, unlocked a fire for film making that’s been burning ever since.
